Travel & Hospitality Talent Hub are working with a Travel company in London.

A Reservations Agent is responsible for handling customer enquiries, processing travel bookings and delivering exceptional customer service throughout the reservation process. The role involves booking flights, accommodation, holiday packages, tours, transfers and other travel-related services while ensuring accuracy, efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to customer enquiries via telephone, email, live chat, and in person.

Book, amend, and cancel travel reservations, including flights, hotels, cruises, tours, car hire, and travel insurance.

Provide customers with accurate information regarding destinations, travel products, pricing, availability, and travel requirements.

Process payments securely and issue booking confirmations and travel documentation.

Maintain accurate customer records and reservation details within booking systems.

Liaise with suppliers, airlines, hotels, and tour operators to confirm bookings and resolve any issues.

Handle customer complaints and resolve problems professionally and efficiently.

Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and data protection requirements.

Meet sales targets by promoting upgrades, additional services, and travel extras where appropriate.

Monitor booking deadlines, ticketing requirements, and payment schedules.

Stay informed about travel products, promotions, industry developments, and destination knowledge.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Previous experience in reservations, travel sales, customer service, or the hospitality industry is preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organisational and time management abilities.

High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple bookings simultaneously.

Competence in Microsoft Office applications and reservation systems.

Knowledge of Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre is advantageous.

Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
